MISSION STATEMENT

It is my conviction that in breeding any stock, the influences of nature and nurture are inseparable. The environment forces adaptation of the organism to its resources. Bred in the desert as a warrior's horse, for speed and endurance, the Arabian horse personality was intimately forged by the cycles of 'ghazu', the raiding campaigns, intrinsic to the Bedu?s lifestyle. Scarcity in all its forms bred the exceptional qualities of this equine.

Today's Arabian is also a product of its environment, geography and breeders' intentions, or those of the market. The acclaimed genetic superiority of Asil Arabians, desert bred only , are hollow when the lifestyle of hardships and constant alertness are gone and only the memory of the Bedus life survives.

I do my best to produce healthy and strong horses with good disposition that are well disciplined. Genetics is a dice game; once in a blue moon, the numbers come together, and the superior rises and shines. So, the superiority of the animal, genetically and otherwise is contingent on a long list of possibilities and probable combinations as much as on the owner/master of the horse and the daily environment of activities, be that for war or show.

PHILOSOPHY

If genetics is all there is to breeding, then the test-tube is the ideal environment. Medals and trophies and pedigree listings dominate the Arabian market for a horse which has become a show and tell commodity. We have bred the Arabian horse in our generational image. Just look at some old foundation photos from the early periods..! Compare and make your conclusions. The showmanship is absent while the genetics are embedded . We are responsible for what the Arabian has become, a tradable asset based on its genetics, and not on the nurturing of a relation it alone serves best. The lifestyle intimacies of the Bedouin and his horse cannot be duplicated. That era has passed and the varied claims to purity, superiority, and excellence of this or that are all open to debate and discussion. May the pure always survive the adulterations of time and tempers.
