Weaving is a universal cultural craft born of necessity and imagination. Indigenous people worldwide share similarities of pattern and form in their expressions of weaving, be it with wool or bamboo. First, as a utilitarian need and then as a form of beauty.

Anyone out there cares to inform and comment on such similarities in flat weave between the Navajo and the Qashgai of Persia with regard to color, pattern, symbols, wool, and dye..???

Or is there anyone cares to inform about the mantas of Peru and Bolivia with references to spinning, wool, dying, finesse of weave, size or any other aspect of the Alte Plano setting with respect to type of wool produced and spun to offset the cold at such altitudes!!!

Let us explore.... TOGETHER.
